Skylight Flashing

Skylight flashing is a specialized waterproofing system installed around skylight openings to prevent water infiltration. It consists of metal or composite components that direct water away from the skylight edges and integrate with roofing materials. In high-rainfall regions like Vancouver, proper flashing is critical to prevent leaks caused by wind-driven rain and snowmelt. Skylight flashing systems are engineered to accommodate roof movement and thermal expansion while maintaining a watertight seal. Poorly installed flashing is one of the most common causes of skylight leaks, making professional installation essential for long-term performance.
