Cool Roofing

Cool roofing systems are designed to reflect more sunlight and absorb less heat compared to traditional roofing materials. They use reflective coatings, light-colored surfaces, or specialized materials to reduce roof surface temperature. In warmer months, cool roofs help reduce cooling costs and improve indoor comfort. While Vancouver has a moderate climate, cool roofing still provides energy savings and helps regulate temperature fluctuations. These systems also reduce urban heat island effects in densely populated areas.
