Chimney Cap

A chimney cap is a protective covering installed at the top of a chimney to prevent rain, debris, animals, and downdrafts from entering the chimney flue. It also helps reduce moisture penetration, which can cause internal deterioration of the chimney structure. In rainy climates like Vancouver, chimney caps are essential for preventing water damage and extending chimney lifespan. They are typically made from stainless steel, copper, or galvanized metal and are designed to withstand harsh weather conditions. A properly installed chimney cap improves safety, efficiency, and durability.
